Marquees

Choosing a marquee for your special event allows you much more flexibility and adds a personal dimension to the occasion. All our marquees are modern, clean and versatile. Our dedicated staff are trained to assemble and take them down - and to do so with military precision and efficiency.

We are justifiably proud of our marquees. Below you'll find details of the different options.

We have a broad range of sizes available. There are six standard widths, but the length is entirely up to you. You can choose from clear span frame widths of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 20 metres.

Our marquees can hold any amount from eight to 800 occupants.

Marquee Planning

We also offer a number of speciality marquees and features:

• Oriental hats/pagodas - 5m x 5m marquees used where the garden is too big for 3 metres but too small for 6 metres. Very striking looking
• Octagonal ends - these can be added on to the end of a marquee to attractive effect and are great for accommodating top tables at weddings
• Entrance marquees - placed ahead of the main marquee
• Service and catering tents - these bolt on to the sides and accommodate areas for catering staff
• Walkways - connecting two or more marquees, 2 metres long

We can erect our marquees on both grass and hard surfaces. We can also incorporate features such as:

• flower beds
• statues
• fountains
• swimming pools

We have strict systems in place to ensure each marquee is thoroughly cleaned and in good working order before it goes out on hire. And, of course, all our equipment meets current safety standards and is tested regularly. What's more, we have our own in-house quality assurance system in place to make sure that nothing is overlooked.

Linings and interiors

For your ease of reference we have provided a table of different interiors you can choose for your marquee with a suggestion of an event they would be suitable for. Of course, nothing is set in stone and you can pick and choose exactly the kind of interior decoration you would like to see in your marquee.

All our linings are meticulously cleaned and maintained.

Furniture

We offer an extensive range of tables and chairs:

• For banqueting, choose chairs in gold, silver, black or natural beech, with a choice of colour seat pads to complement your taste or theme.
• Wooden folding or white bistro chairs offer an interesting alternative and work particularly well at garden parties and fetes, evoking images of an English country garden.
• Aluminium furniture, including tall poseur tables and bar stools, creates a retro feel and is well suited to parties.
• Teak wooden table and chair sets, with parasols, are excellent for using outside the marquee.
• We have a range of sofas and coffee tables, ideal for the 'chillout' area of a ball or party.
• Tables are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. The most popular (and sociable!) is the 5foot round type, which seats eight to ten people.

Flooring

• Coir matting - very popular and practical as a floor covering and particularly suited to grass areas.
• Solid wooden flooring covered with new marquee cord carpet - best used on uneven surfaces to ensure the comfort of guests and safety of the furniture.
• Dance floors - you can opt for traditional parquet, funky black and white checked or polished wood. The latter is most commonly used for larger events and outdoor festivals.

Lighting

Choose from chandeliers and uplighters which can be dimmed to create the right mood. Pinspots can also be used to individually light up tables or certain areas of the marquee. Specialist lighting can be installed to suit your requirements so please just ask and we'll be happy to oblige.

Climate Control

It's not unheard of for us to hire out marquees for events such as Christmas dinners and other winter occasions. If the thought of feeling the cold puts you off, fear not. We provide modern reliable heating for the cooler months as standard, with warm air ducted into the marquee so that no unsightly equipment is visible. We can also install air conditioning in the warmer months.

Toilet facilities

Toilet facilities are of vital importance at a marquee event. Whether you're looking for a luxurious trailer unit or a set of portaloos, toilet provision at Meadow Fields Marquees is of the highest standard possible, with function and cleanliness top priorities. Like we said, no detail too small...

Power

If generated power is on your wish list, we can liaise with your caterers or entertainment providers to assess how much power is needed to run your event safely and efficiently.

Refrigeration

We offer a choice of two sizes of mobile chillers. Both units can be plugged into a mains supply or hooked up to a generator.

Bar units

Our bar units come in all shapes, sizes and styles, with everything from traditional polished wooden to illuminated units on offer.
